April, May & June – Dbl trouble

Both months brought new health concerns, set backs and double the trouble.

Grampy was set to go in for a simple procedure and ended up with complications that brought him to the ER and then an admittance to the hospital. Sven and I had to care for grammy and that came with some real challenges of it’s own, especially when she ran away and we had to call in for a police search that found her in a car (with a former neighbory).

I myself experienced some severe eye troubles and a slew of migraines, worsening vertigo, neurological issues, more anxeity and new gastric health problems.

And lastly trips to the animal ER for Sven. He developed a raging ear infection, prior to a scheduled visit with a new regular veterinary Dr  Upon meeting the new Dr, we discovered a large mass in Sven’s abdomen. I’d mentioned it to Drs about 3 years ago when he looked like a crocodile on the floor and everyone said it was nothing… sigh. I knew it was something even then. Needless to say, glad we’re on the right track with a caring, sharp Veterinary Dr now. Along with a referral for an ultra sound elsewhere due to his size. It’ll be a bit before we get answers and a care plan or able to figure out our options. In the meantime, Sven’s got antibiotics, probiotics, for the infection, eye gel, eye drops for thyroid eyes. And fingers crossed.

As for me I see the eye specialist next week to see what can be done about it or not, as of right now I’ve lost about 95% vision in one eye and the other is blurry and I’m trying to get used to a new reality and way of life coping with all of this.

And sure as shit or luck would have it, it was time for annual unit inspections and lease recertification paperwork< and being denies access to a handicap bathroom. FML somedays.
